History of Soke Irie and his Organisations
Soke Irie Yasuhiro
- Trained in Hakko Ryu Dojo under Hakko Ryu founder and Shodai Soke Okuyama Ryuho.
- Soke Irie served as the chief instructor of Hakko Ryu for over 20 years.
Founding of the KoKoDo Organisation:
- Founding of the KoKoDo Clinic in 1988
- Founding of KoKoDo JuJutsu in 1995
- Split of KoKoDo into two parts in 2015: KoKoDo JuJutsu and KoKoDo BuJutsu
- Founding of Nihon Bushido Kodo Kai in 2015, with Co-Founder Metin Kayar-Hanshi from Liechtenstein.
- Soke Irie expanded the KoKoDo Organisation to more than 12 countries worldwide, teaching JuJutsu and also conducting Shiatsu seminars globally.
Organisations
KoKoDo JuJutsu (the "soft" branch of KoKoDo) – founded by Soke Irie Yasuhiro. "KoKoDo" means "Imperial Light Path - Gentle Art", teaching JuJutsu as a traditional Japanese Budo system.
KoKoDo BuJutsu (the "hard" branch of KoKoDo) – founded by Soke Irie Yasuhiro. Head of Hombu and Executive Dojo: Metin Kayar - Hanshi (Liechtenstein). It features various BuJutsu styles kept secret for many years and referred to as "Okuden". The first branch was released in 2016 under the name "KoKoDo KenJutsu".
Nihon Bushido Kodo Kai (Bushido Philosophy) – founded in 2015 in Istanbul by Co-Founders Soke Irie Yasuhiro and Metin Kayar-Hanshi. It represents a revival of Bushido based on a peaceful philosophy in martial arts.
